This compact species is from the states of Espirito Santo and Minas Gerais, Brazil, where they grow in humid forest and swampy areas usually low on trees.

Culture: Grow in medium light. Rainfall is heavy during the growing season and in the winter months, rainfall is decreased but not stopped.

Plants should be allowed to dry between watering, even during the growing season, but not kept dry for extended periods of time. 

They can be grown potted with a medium that allows the roots to dry or mounted. 

They do well with a cool winter and warm summer.

Blooming size. Potted in net baskets inside 2.5-3" pots

In bud, and/or new growths.
