Native to Borneo growing in forests from sea level to about 500 meters this is one of the most elegant and spectacular of the bulbophyllums.  Plants have 4-5 inch single leaves atop conical pseudobulbs with a compact rambling habit. The six inch spike holds an almost complete circle of 2 inch flowers that range in color from bright yellow to yellow dusted with orange.  As with all the cirrhopetalum type, the lip is mobile and the petals are hairy.
