Phaiocalanthe Kryptonite x Calanthe vestita

Blooming size, some slight variation between siblings, but rather consistent

A semi-terrestrial orchid with velvety, deep, purple-red flowers, like its parent, Phaiocalanthe Kryptonite, but takes on a shorter stature more like Calanthe vestita. Grows rather similar to Oncidium hybrids or Zygopetalums, so this more compact Phaius hybrid is much more manageable in a home environment than its relatives.
