3 to 4 inch purple tinged club shaped canes carry ½ inch leaves in single row on opposing sides. Bright pink tubular flowers bloom in clusters on both bare canes as well as fully leafed canes. Flowers twice a year. This species unique growth habit makes for an attractive plant whether in flower or not.
