This species is the most compact of the rambling Barkerias and yet has one of the largest flowers for the genus. New growth comes partway up the old growth so is good for mounting. Plant blooms in summer off the new growth and can carry a ten inch inflorescence with several 3 inch flowers of light lavender with a prominent white and purple speckled lip.
